Wolf Racing Cars is a renowned Italian racing car manufacturer whose name carries an extraordinary legacy in international motorsport. The brand's history dates back to 1976, when Canadian entrepreneur Walter Wolf founded the Walter Wolf Racing team, which went on to leave a lasting mark on the history of Formula 1.
From Formula 1 to international success
One of the most significant moments in the brand's history came in 1977, when legendary driver Jody Scheckter claimed victory at the Argentine Grand Prix on the racing debut of the Wolf WR1.

The distinctive black-and-gold livery and iconic wolf emblem became defining elements of the Wolf brand's identity.
A new era – the revival of the brand in Italy
In 2009, a new chapter began in the history of Wolf Racing Cars. Italian engineer and entrepreneur Giovanni Bellarosa, through Avelon Formula, acquired the rights to the Wolf brand with the ambition of continuing its prestigious racing heritage through the development of modern sports prototypes.
This vision led to the creation of the innovative Wolf GB08, a racing car that immediately demonstrated its exceptional potential.
On its racing debut on 25 April 2010 at Misano World Circuit, the Wolf GB08 secured victory with Ivan Bellarosa behind the wheel. Later that same season, the car also claimed the Italian championship title in the sports prototype category.
This achievement marked the beginning of a successful new era for the Wolf brand, which subsequently established its presence on racing circuits across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
Technological development and international achievements
In the following years, Wolf racing cars secured championship titles and victories in numerous prestigious racing series, including the FIA Speed Euroseries, the Asian Le Mans Series and the Belgian Belcar Championship. Significant achievements also followed in endurance racing and at the legendary Pikes Peak hill climb in the United States.
The company progressively expanded its range of racing cars with new generations of sports prototypes, including the Wolf GB08 Thunder, Tornado, Mistral, Extreme and the latest Raiden.
Another important milestone came in 2020 with the establishment of a technical collaboration with Ford Motor Company.
